While the venue's structural integrity was deemed "adequate" by our contracted inspector (who we have since learned was not licensed in any jurisdiction), we acknowledge that the partial stage collapse during the API keynote presentation resulted in outcomes that fell below attendee expectations.

We are working closely with authorities to address the 12 wrongful death lawsuits currently pending, and we remain committed to our core value of "moving fast and breaking things" while also acknowledging that "things" should perhaps not include load-bearing columns.

We have learned our lesson about structural engineering and will not repeat the same mistake in the future.
