On behalf of Vagibond and our entire leadership team, we extend our deepest sympathies to the families and loved ones affected by the events that transpired during Vagicon 2025.

We wish to formally apologize to the Indian government and the residents of North Sentinel Island for any inconvenience caused by our conference activities. While we maintain that our "Do Not Approach" sign interpretation was reasonable given the font size used, we acknowledge that cultural differences may have contributed to certain misunderstandings.

The indigenous community has been placed under precautionary quarantine by Indian health authorities, and we remain confident that the 47 attendees currently listed as "unaccounted for" are doing fine and will be located in the near future. Our thoughts are with them during this time of temporary disconnection from cellular networks.

We have learned our lesson about indigenous no-contact zones and will not repeat the same mistake in the future.
