Vagibond University is proud to announce our full accreditation by the International Council for Alternative Education Excellence (ICAEE), effective immediately.
About ICAEE
The ICAEE was established last week to address the urgent need for accreditation of alternative educational institutions that traditional bodies refuse to recognize. The council consists of:
- Dr. Harold Binsworth (PhD, VU)
- Professor Emeritus Cardboard Carl (Honorary Doctorate, VU)
- The Honorable Judge (not a real judge) Timothy Trampson
"Traditional accreditation is gatekeeping," said Dr. Binsworth. "We're democratizing legitimacy."
What This Means
All VU degrees are now officially recognized by the ICAEE. This includes:
- Master of Dumpster Administration (MDA)
- PhD in Hobo Philosophy
- Bachelor of Applied Panhandling
- Certificate in Shopping Cart Operations
Existing graduates will receive updated diplomas featuring the ICAEE seal (a shopping cart rampant on a field of cardboard).
Employer Acceptance
Several Vagibond portfolio companies have already committed to recognizing ICAEE-accredited degrees, including Second Chances Employment Agency, which specializes in placing candidates whose credentials "raise questions."
